PUC Certificate For Vehicles : Penalty Rs.10,000 for vehicles without PUC Certificate

Vehicle owners in India must have Registration Certificate, Driving License along with PUC Certificate (PUC – Pollution Under Control). PUC Certificate is mandatory for all vehicles running on fuel engine. But this PUC Certificate is valid only for that 1 year. If the certificate has expired, 7 days i.e. 1 week will be given to renew it. PUC Certificate is not required only for electric vehicles. According to Section 190 (2) of India's Motor Vehicles Act 1988, PUC Certificate is mandatory for any vehicle having Internal Combustion Engine called ICE.
